Orders Under $AU300

Orders under $AU300 can be completed online either via the PayPal facility or through another payment option previously arranged.  Full payment of your Saltire Ring including Postage and Insurance charges is required before commencement of manufacture.

Orders Over $AU300 

For all orders over $AU300, a ClanTime Order Form must be completed before commencement of manufacture of your Saltire Ring. Once your order form has been received, we will send you an invoice with payment instructions to enable you to pay your deposit. When your deposit funds have cleared, we begin manufacture of your ring within 2 business days.We require a 30% deposit of the order value with the order.

For Australian customers, you are required to pay the balance of your order COD upon receiving your ring at an Australian Post Office. For international customers, we require you to pay the balance of your order before shipment.

Postage & Insurance

Postage and Insurance charges vary depending on the destination and value of the product purchased. We will determine these costs once we receive your order and advise you of these costs on a deposit receipt which we send to you upon receiving your order and deposit.

Once we receive your order details, ring sizing and approved payment, manufacture of your ring begins immediately. At the completion of manufacture, each Saltire Ring is laser engraved with a unique serial number to certify its authenticity and to facilitate exclusive valuation. Only the Saltire 'Heirloom' and Saltire 'Dress' Rings will be supplied with an independent valuation certificate. At the very final stage, each ring is presented and packaged in an elegant mahogany ring box.

We require an accurate ring size upon placement of your order. We guarantee the size of ring made is correct according to the order and ClanTime takes no responsibility for incorrectly ordered ring sizing. Due to incorrect finger measurement, it may be possible that your specified ring is slightly large or small. If this is the case, due to the complexity of the face of the ring, we recommend any alterations required should be carried out by our jewellers. Should you have your ring resized by your local specialist jeweller, ClanTime will assume no responsibility.

Please note that as we are using natural gemstones,

colour will vary slightly between each piece.

The Saltire Ring is an elegant and refined piece of jewellery and we ship our product to proud Scottish customers around the world. Consequently, your order is shipped swiftly, securely and is insured from our door to yours. We have reviewed cheaper and less dependable methods of shipping, but feel that the Saltire Ring deserves the very best treatment, even when it comes to delivery.

It is the responsibility of the customer to pay for Postage, Packaging and Insurance costs and these costs will be included as a separate listing of the full order value. Postage and insurance costs may vary depending on the value of the product purchased and the destination country.

Important Note: Shipping times listed reflect the time it takes for the package to travel from our manufacturing studio to your door. It is not possible to guarantee delivery times on any items. ClanTime can take no responsibility for delays caused during shipping, once goods have left the manufacturing studio.

Within Australia

Depending on the order value, each Saltire Ring is sent via Australia Posts' Registered Mail or Cash On Delivery (COD) facility.

• For orders under $AU300, ClanTime requires full payment before commencement of manufacture. When the product is ready to ship, we use the Australia Post Registered Post facility. This facility provides full insurance cover, ensures each article has a unique identification number, a signature obtained on delivery and delivery confirmation back to the sender. It is also a requirement that the person receiving the article must be the person named in the address.

• For orders over $AU300, ClanTime requires a deposit of 30% of the order value before commencement of manufacture. In Australia, we use the Australia Post COD facility to ship each product in this situation. The COD facility provides full insurance cover and provides a statement of delivery back to the sender.

When your ring is shipped to your nominated address, the nearest Post Office will receive the package and notify you by mail that you have an article awaiting. You will need to attend the Post Office, present identification and pay the COD amount before receiving your Saltire Ring. The COD amount will be the balance remaining of your full order (balance after 30% deposit). ClanTime will cover costs of the COD facility.

 

Note: Australia Post Offices only accept cash or EFTPOS as a form of payment for COD packages. If you wish to pay by credit card, you will need to arrange full payment with ClanTime before the item is shipped.

 

Also, for COD packages, if the customer does not pick up their package within 1 month of delivery, the Post Office will arrange to send the package back to the sender. In this case, additional fees will be incurred to resend the product back to the customer.

Delivery times for both Registered Post and COD should normally range between 2-5 business days.

Each item passes through our final inspection and quality control process before shipping and is carefully and securely packaged to ensure safe transit. Should for any reason the goods be received as damaged or faulty, please follow the directions below:

Apparent Shipping Damage

1. Inspect any received package thoroughly before accepting/signing for it. If the package appears to have suffered shipping damage, contact Australia Post to have the packaging assessed.
2. Notify ClanTime of the damged packaging within 24 hours after the goods have been received.
3. All items are insured so if Australia Post deems the damage has occurred within their terms and conditions, the insurance is awarded in favour of the addressee.

Faulty Goods

1. Notify ClanTime of the faulty goods within 24 hours after the goods have been received.
2. Depending on the fault, we may decide to have the product taken to a local jeweller for repair at our cost. Otherwise, please return the product back to ClanTime COD and we will organise to have it repaired or replaced.
3. If you do need to return any goods, please remember to wrap the package securely as it may not be possible to offer a refund or replacement on goods which are damaged during return transit.

International Orders
All international orders are sent via Fedex. Fedex offers exceptionally fast and secure deliveries to most locations* around the world allowing both the customer and ClanTime to track the order via the Fedex tracking system.

For security reasons, all shipments require an authorised signature when delivered. If you cannot be available to sign for your package, please be sure that an adult who is authorised to sign for your package will be present at the designated shipping address.

Important note: If your order is being delivered to an office building, apartment complex or similar facility, or to a public institution such as a hospital, hotel, school, etc., the carrier may accept the signatures of mailroom employees, receptionists, and similar administrative personnel upon delivery. Upon signature or acceptance by such personnel, we shall be deemed to have fulfilled our entire delivery obligation for your order. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items delivered in accordance with the delivery practices noted above.

We are unable to guarantee delivery times from Australia however typically we expect that once manufacture and valuation is complete, your product should arrive within 5 days anywhere in the world. We are not able to guarantee an exact delivery date due to possible customs delays.

Each item passes through our final inspection and quality control process before shipping and is carefully and securely packaged to ensure safe transit. Should for any reason the goods be received as damaged or faulty, please follow the directions below:

1. Notification of faulty goods should be made within 24 hours after the goods have been received.
2. Inspect any received package thoroughly before accepting/signing for it. If the package appears to have suffered shipping damage, keep the original carton, promptly contact the shipping company for a damage inspection report and request that the shipping company returns the merchandise. Under these circumstances, do not return the merchandise yourself.
3. If you do need to return any goods, please remember to wrap the package securely as it may not be possible to offer a refund or replacement on goods which are damaged during return transit.
4. Mark your parcel clearly as "Returned Goods".

* ClanTime reserves the right to refuse sending products to certain countries. We will notify you upon order placement if there may be a shipping issue to your country.

A genuine independent valuation certificate is only provided for each Saltire 'Heirloom' or Saltire 'Dress' Ring purchased by customers. Should you order other Saltire Ring's in the range and wish to have a valuation certificate provided, we are able to supply this for a further valuation fee of $AU65.

Each ring is individually valued by a member of the Australian National Council of Jewellery Valuers (NCJV). Members of the NCJV are highly skilled experts accredited by the Gemmological Association of Australia and are trained in providing accurate assessments of all types of jewellery.

Members must undergo accredited training in all the key areas of gemmological study, gemstone grading and the detection of synthetic gemstones. They must also commit to ongoing education to keep up-to-date with industry changes in order to maintain their membership as an accredited valuer.

Accurate jewellery valuation is a demanding and highly technical profession that draws on many areas of expertise and knowledge. NCJV registered valuers use the latest testing equipment and procedures to provide a scientific analysis of precious and semi-precious gems. They are trained to identify the tiniest details that can affect a valuation and are familiar with the techniques used in the manufacture of imported and modern jewellery, and the creation of antique pieces.

It is possible for small variations on valuation between different valuers to occur.

Each Saltire Ring is individually made to order for a particular customer and this makes it very difficult to store our stock our products. Once we receive your order, normally manufacture will begin within 2 business days of clearance of funds.

As our returns policy is quite rigid, please ensure you are in an adequate financial position before placing your order.

Orders Up To $AU300

• For orders up to $AU300, the full order amount is to be paid with the order. If you choose to cancel your order before manufacture has commenced, a cancellation administration fee of $AU35 for Australian customers or $AU70 for international customers will apply. This fee will be deducted from your order payment and we will refund all remaining funds.
• If you choose to cancel your order once manufacture has commenced, we are only able to refund up to 70% of the order value.

Orders Over $AU300

• For orders over $AU300, a 30% deposit of the full order value is to be paid upon placing the order. If you choose to cancel your order before manufacture has commenced, a cancellation administration fee of $AU35 for Australian customers or $AU70 for international customers will apply. This fee will be deducted from your deposit and we will refund all remaining funds.
• If you choose to cancel your order once manufacture has commenced, we are unable to refund any of the 30% deposit.

Full Return Policy
All of the ClanTime products retail for well under our own independent insurance valuations for each item. Should you receive your Saltire Ring and have it valued by your own jewelry valuer and it is found that the stated value is grossly inaccurate, ClanTime will refund the whole order amount including return postage upon return of the ring.

Before a refund is given, we will require 2 separate genuine independent insurance valuations including a statement of the full qualifications and contact details of the independent valuers.

All our jewellery carries a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects. Our jewellery is warranted as being suitable for the purpose for which it is designed under fair wear and tear. Our liability under this warranty will be limited to the replacement or free repair of any item of jewellery acknowledged by us to be faulty providing such faults have not been caused by misuse, negligent handling or improper care of the goods.

Most of ClanTime products are for use as dress pieces and are not manufactured for work, recreation, sports or any other physical activity.

Note: 18 carat gold is a very highly refined product and as such is a softer material than lower carat gold.

For Australian customers, GST at the rate of 10% will be included in the total price. If you are an international customer, GST or VAT may be applicable. Any GST or VAT taxes are levied once the package reaches your country. Additional charges for GST or VAT must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

All goods supplied to Australian customers do not need a customs declaration. All international packages are accurately described, with costs, on the Customs Declaration Document. Any customs or import duties are levied once the package reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you may want to contact your local customs office for further information.
